This page is maintained by the Snack Lab team to answer common questions about security and privacy in our app. It describes our current practices and is not an independent certification or audit.
Access & authentication
Member accounts are protected by email, phone, Google, or Apple sign-in. Each session is tied to your member account, and staff and admin actions require additional server-side role checks beyond the client UI.
Member roles are stored separately from profile data and verified on every privileged request.
Data we collect
We store the information needed to run your membership and checkout: account profile, membership QR identifier, purchase history, AI checkout photos linked to your transactions, rewards balance, and entry/exit logs.
Checkout photos are retained with the related transaction so you and staff can review what was purchased.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe webhook events are verified server-side before any order is updated.
Cameras & AI checkout
The AI checkout station uses an overhead camera to identify items you place on the surface. Images captured at checkout are saved with your transaction record and used to resolve any disputes about an order.
Store cameras used for security monitoring are operated by Snack Lab staff and are not shared publicly.
Your choices
You can review your purchase history and account details from your member dashboard. To request account deletion or a copy of your data, contact us using the email below.
